Before you start

  • A Shopify store with an Online Store 2.0 theme. All current Shopify themes support the app blocks this app uses.
  • Your products' Amazon listings: a link or ASIN for each product you want to show reviews for.
  • Optional: Google Chrome, if you want to collect reviews with the extension instead of importing CSV files.

Install the app

  1. Open the listingGo to Technophile Amazon Review Sync on the Shopify App Store and choose Install.
  2. Approve the permissionsShopify shows what the app can access. It asks for one permission only: to read your products, so you can pick them when connecting to Amazon.
  3. Start your free trialThe app opens in your Shopify admin. Choose Start free trial and approve the charge on Shopify's page. You won't be billed during the 14-day trial; after that it's $6.99 every 30 days on your Shopify invoice.

Agency or developer? On a development store, the plan is a test charge that Shopify never bills, so you can set everything up for a client at no cost.

Find your way around

The app has three pages in its menu in your Shopify admin:

PageWhat you do there
HomeThe setup guide, your connected products, collection progress, shopper reviews waiting for approval, display settings and exports.
ReviewsEvery Amazon and shopper review in one list: search, filter, approve, reply, hide and edit.
AppearanceColors, font and layout for the reviews on every product page, with a live preview.

A Help button sits at the bottom right of every page. It has searchable answers and Talk to support, which emails us with your store's details.

Follow the setup guide

The setup guide on Home tracks three things, and ticks each off as you go:

  1. Connect your products to their Amazon listings. Next tutorial.
  2. Import reviews from a CSV file, or collect them with the Chrome extension.
  3. Add reviews to your product page with the theme editor.

That's the whole setup. You can have reviews on your first product page in one sitting.
