Match your brand and turn on the AI summary

Set colors, fonts and layout once for every product page, and add an AI summary of reviews.

Reviews follow your theme out of the box. When you want them to match your brand exactly, set the look once on the Appearance page and it applies to every product page.

Set your brand style

  1. Open AppearanceChoose Appearance in the app's menu in your Shopify admin.
  2. Choose your colorsKeep your theme's colors, or pick your own accent, star, text, background and review card colors.
  3. Pick the detailsFilled or outline buttons, corner radius and font. If a color pair is hard to read, the page warns you in plain words.
  4. Turn it on and saveTick Use this style on your store and save. The live preview shows the result as you go.

Set one layout for every product

In the Layout part of the same page, choose grid or list, how many reviews show at first, the sort order, the rating breakdown, store reviews first, dates, the Verified purchase label and the lines before Read more. Tick Use this layout on your store and save.

How it works with the theme editor: each switch you turn on here replaces the matching settings on the blocks in the theme editor. With them off, the blocks use their own theme editor settings. Changes show on the next page load.

Turn on the AI summary of reviews

The AI summary is a short paragraph with up to 3 things buyers like and 3 they don't, written from the reviews the product shows. It never uses reviewers' names or emails.

  1. Open the blockIn the theme editor, select the Reviews from Amazon block on a product page.
  2. Switch it onTick Show AI summary of reviews. Change the Summary heading if you like, then save the theme.
  3. Visit a productThe summary is written in the background after the first visit to a product page, so it appears a few minutes later.
  • It needs at least 5 reviews with text.
  • It's labelled "AI-generated from the text of N reviews", so shoppers know what it is.
  • It refreshes after the product's reviews change, on a later visit (small changes can take up to 6 hours).
  • You can't edit it, only turn it off.

Other display options

  • Show only 5-star reviews: Home › Display settings. Other reviews stay saved in the app.
  • Hide one product's reviews: turn off Shown on store in its row on Home.
  • Change the text: the Reviews block heading, AI summary heading and Star rating label are editable in the theme editor. Other storefront text is in English for now.
